At long last after much searching I have found source for the mose exquisite recreations of these classic, timeless Caucasian-design rugs of antiquity. These are actually woven from photographs in rug books and museum catalogues. They capture the essence of the original masterpieces woven by hands still close to the soil and spirit of the Caucasus of 150 years ago: Afghanistan. They are woven of authentic handspun mountain wools of Ghazni Province, dyed in traditional methods of natural plants, and finished in the same manner as wer those from the Caucasus more than a century ago. NO CHILD LABOUR IS USED: These rugs are woven by adult Afghan village women, who are paid a fair price for their skills."
