large-carpet market for many years, with good
reason. In recent years however there has evolved
a production of high quality carpets from Pakistan,
incorporating both new and classic old designs
from India, Iran, Turkey as well as innovative
contemporary designs. The finest examples are
often woven of handspun wool from Afghanistan
and natural dyes. Regardless of orgin a high quality
carpet will provide both hard wear and continuing
